S-W-O-L-L-E-N

I've been able to avoid it but no longer! I have become S-W-O-L-L-E-N!

I know its part of the glorious process of being pregnant but it is not fun. I try my hardest to avoid salty foods and I've been drinking my own weight in water, but still I am afflicted.

It's not as bad as my sister, she was swollen everywhere all 9 months. Lucky for me it just started and resides mostly in my ankles and face. My shoes are a little tight now so I have to wear sandals more often, which equals a clear view of my dry, un-pedicured feet.

I've never been much of a girly girl (despite my recent interest in makeup and fashion) so I've never done the whole Mani and Pedi thing. But it looks like I'll have to start, can't walk around with crusty toes in sandals.

The swelling isn't uncomfortable but it does look weird. Sometimes my hands get swollen and I have to work with my hands in the air, my co-workers think I'm waving or something.

Nothing much I can do but just waddle through the process, and hope it doesn't get worse.
