"What to Expect When Expecting"
So I FINALLY got the book. I was waiting for my sister to give me
hers but she couldn't find it, so I bought the digital version from Google
Books.
It's GREAT!!!
Especially since I can read it on the computer or my phone, anytime
I'm waiting in the Dr's office or anywhere really, I can read the
book.
I've been reading
it non-stop for like the past week and I learned SO MUCH!!
I'll admit, even
though I was craving a lot of fruit and everything I still had the occasional
Burger King and Taco Bell. (Maybe more than the occasional) But, when I went to
the Dr. I actually lost another pound.
I still want to
ensure I'm eating the best things to give my baby the best chance at
life. This book is the bible on pregnancy, I swear!!! After reading it,
especially about the nutrition, I am being a lot more cautious about what
I eat. Especially since the Dr. said I lost weight I'm going to start adding
health fats to my diet so I can gain weight slowly and healthy.
And I'm hungry now
so I'm going.

The Confession
Facebook and Twitter are two of the biggest online communities in
the world. They have the potential to make you famous, connect you with loved
ones and yes, ruin your reputation.
It's funny that I
have a blog for my journey through pregnancy but no one knows about it, at
least not anyone I know. It's almost like a personal diary of sorts.
Anyway, I haven't
made the famed "Facebook announcement" about
my pregnancy yet, especially since I have everyone from high school
friends to family in the Bahamas as my friends on Facebook. Twitter is a little
safer since I only have a few people I know following me and many I don't know,
yet I am still having second thoughts about my "confession" about my
"condition" on either social network.
So far none of
the people I've told (close friends, immediate family) have let the
truth slip. This is why I told them. They could be trusted and allow
me to make the announcement on my own terms.
My sister says
people usually make the announcement around their 3 month,
which I'm actually official 12 weeks today, but I’m
still holding back.
I guess since me
and my boyfriend aren't married yet and I've seen so many of my high
school classmates have children out of wedlock, I didn't want to be
in "that crowd".
I know time have
change and this is becoming more common place but I think my mother gave me a
complex about that stuff. I'm totally excited about my pregnancy or I
wouldn't have marked the event with blog and video entries. I
dunno. Excuse the first sentence though, I don't feel that the pregnancy
will ruin my reputation but I will be put in the box of classmates, having
kids, not married, and still no job in their field.
Still contemplating what to do here, guess I’ll just wait.
